Nigerians have been known to take up several things as a 'hobby' or even a test of strenght. Sometimes, these 'hobbies' raise eyebrows in question.

Who can forget when it was a common thing for people who were 'trekking in support' of presidential candidates during the 2015 general elections held in Nigeria?

A young man even decided to 'trek for love'because he needed to prove to the woman he loved that he wanted to be more than a friend.

This corp member decided to embark on a long trek in celebration of his state's golden jubilee

Fast forward to 2017, a corp member identified as @mc_dave, has also decided to embark on a long trek as well.

The corp member who is currently serving at Umuahia, Abia state, decided to trek all the way from his place of primary assignment to Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

He claims he is embarking on the trek as a means of celebrating his state's golden jubilee and the completion of his service year.

mc_dave is starting his trek a day after his passing out parade

Announcing his move via Instagram, he wrote:

"What will you do to celebrate greatness? How far will you go to appreciate development and growth? What risk will you take to sing about the good culture and values of Rivers State?

My name is Mc Dave and I wish to let every Rivers man and indeed the world be on the know that, in my own way of celebrating the golden jubilee of Rivers state and my passing out from service as a corps member, I'll do a long distance walk from Umuahia the capital of Abia which is my state of primary assignment to Port Harcourt, The heartbeat of Rivers State...

#iwaka4Rivers #riversat50 #portharcourttotheworld

He went further to share a detailed picture of his plans. See below:

What do you think? Would you join the 'trekkers' anytime soon?

Source : NNU. Ng

Edmund Delle, a dermatologist at the Rabito Clinic in Accra, holds up a picture of a woman with

ochronosis — discoloration caused by long-term application of hydroquinone to lighten the skin

In the early 70s, Fela Anikulapo Kuti ridiculed women who were addicted with skin bleaching, calling them ‘ugly women’, yeye (useless) things’ in one of his most popular songs ‘Yellow Fever’.Decades after, the bleaching craze appears to have hit new heights, with pills and injectables now being used to lighten skins, according to this report by AFP.

Dr. Isima Sobande was in medical school when she first heard of mothers who bleached the skin of their babies. She dismissed it as an urban myth. But it wasn’t long before she saw it with her own eyes.

At a health centre in Lagos, a mother brought in a two-month-old infant who was crying in pain. “He had very large boils all over his body,” the soft-spoken 27-year-old Nigerian told AFP. “It seemed like they weren’t normal.”

The baby’s mother explained that she had mixed a steroid cream with shea butter and slathered his skin with it in order to make it whiter.

“I was very appalled. It was distressing,” said Sobande.

Shocked, the young doctor now takes a different view on skin bleaching, also called lightening or whitening.

For many Nigerians, it is a “standard procedure,” a gateway to beauty and success, she said.

“It’s a mindset that has eaten into society. For a lot of people, it’s the path to getting a good job, having a relationship.”

Skin lightening is popular in many parts of the world, including South Asia and the Middle East.

But medical experts say that in Africa — a continent where regulations are often lax or scorned — the widening phenomenon is laden with health risks.

Cultural watchdogs, for their part, see it as the toxic legacy of colonialism.

Africa is experiencing a “massive trend of increased use (of skin bleaching), particularly in teenagers and young adults,” said Lester Davids, a physiology professor at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

“The older generation used creams — the new generation uses pills and injectables. The horror is that we do not know what these things do in high concentrations over time in the body.”

Where statistics about Africa’s skin-bleaching industry exist, they are often old or unreliable. But evidence from the range of products, suppliers and services points to a continent-wide market that may number tens of millions of people and possibly more.

In Nigeria alone, 77 per cent of women — by extrapolation, more than 60 million people — are using lightening products on a “regular basis”, the World Health Organization (WHO) said in 2011.

Experts say the African market is rapidly expanding as companies seek to cash in on the continent’s booming youth population.

“More clients want insight on the lightening market,”said Rubab Abdoolla, a beauty analyst at market researchers Euromonitor International.

The rich tend to opt for pricier registered products which are available in standard doses.

Others are likely to buy creams, often bootleg concoctions mixed in the back streets, that may be dangerous and are blatantly sold in defiance of official bans or constraints.

Ingredients may include hydroquinone, steroids, mercury and lead — the same element that, at high doses, poisoned Elizabethan courtiers who powdered their faces ivory white.

“These chemicals damage respiratory, kidney and reproductive systems,” an official from the Nigerian drug control agency warned. “They cause cancer, affect the nervous system, deform unborn babies.”

In spite of the risks, authorities are struggling to control the bleaching innovations, which include a compound called glutathione, taken as injections or pills.

Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya have all banned skin bleaching products with high amounts of hydroquinone and mercury, with the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa urging people to “reject all colonial notions of beauty”.

In July, Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority issued a statement telling pregnant women not to take glutathione pills to bleach their unborn babies saying that there may be “serious toxic side effects” such as “asthma, renal failure and chest pains.”

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stresses that it has not given approval for any of the injections on the market today.

“These products are potentially unsafe and ineffective, and might contain unknown harmful ingredients or contaminants.”

Those who start using skin lightening say they invariably stay with the practice.

“Before you know it, it has become some sort of an addiction where you want to maintain that look,”said Dabota Lawson, a Lagos socialite and cosmetics entrepreneur.

“Just like with plastic surgery, it begins to feel like it’s never enough.”

In Lagos, the creams are assembled by a legion of cosmetologists and sold at a price anywhere from 5,000 naira to 20,000 naira ($14-55, 12-47 euros), a prohibitive amount in a country where the minimum wage is just 18,000 naira ($50, 42 euros).

Instagram skincare star Pela Okiemute’s “Russian White” body cream claims to give “firmness, intense beauty and a mixed race complexion”.

His “Cleopatra Royal” cream, whose label features Elizabeth Taylor in her famous role as the Egyptian queen, promises to “lighten and radiate”.

Customers should start seeing results in two weeks, says Okiemute, explaining that his creams, which include collagen, kojic acid and “anti-ageing” snail slime are safe, though he declined to divulge his formula.

“We have a lot of customers who have used a lot of wrong products, they come to us and we give solutions,” he says.

He flicked through his phone to show before-and-after photos of a client who had a problem with dark knuckles, a telltale sign of a skin bleacher.

Intravenous injections and pills of glutathione — an antioxidant naturally found in the body that has a lightening side effect — are the new frontiers of skin bleaching.

At his clinic on the outskirts of Lagos, beside an abandoned Chinese restaurant, plastic surgeon Aranmolate Ayobami charges clients 150,000 naira ($415, 350 euros) for a five-week course of glutathione injections.

Known as the “Buttmaster” for helping patients seeking an hourglass figure, Ayobami buys the injections from companies he trusts in the United Arab Emirates or the United States.

He only gives certain dosages for a limited amount of time, he said.

But sometimes clients will bring in their own cheaper product that they bought online and urge him to inject them. “We try to discourage that,” he said.

If many millions of Africans lighten their skin without regret, others are dismayed.

“Skin bleaching is one manifestation of folks trying to get power and privilege aligned with whiteness,”said Yaba Blay, a researcher at North Carolina Central University.

“We’re seeing folks attempt to be perceived as having more value because of their complexion.”

Recent black movements are trying to challenge that perception.

#Melaninpoppin, a hashtag celebrating black skin, and the smash-hit movie “Black Panther,” which featured an almost all-black cast wearing African-inspired outfits and natural hair, are held up as testaments to a shift away from longstanding Eurocentric standards of beauty.

But whether the tide of opinion is turning in Africa itself is another question.

“The truth for me was that my beauty was more accepted abroad than at home,” said Ajuma Nasenyana, a model from northern Kenya, who has walked for Victoria’s Secret and Vivienne Westwood.

“In the African industry the lighter your skin tone the more beautiful you are. Hopefully the industry is changing and starting to appreciate darker skin.”

Sobande, the doctor, said, “We’re living in a more positive environment than a few years before.

“But it’s going to take a lot of effort to change the mindset.”

You too can Sew
Hi. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I made this blouses. I now Sew perfectly well, but you know Learning doesn't stop, you learn to become perfect and to be well equipped to give out the best.
I made this Lovely Peplum blouses, including mine. Lolz. The sewing turned out to be neat, both in and out. I give God the glory. Like I always say you can achieve anything you want through the help of the Holy Spirit. Before I started Learning how to sew, I developed cold feet, I don't know why, maybe because I hear people saying "sewing is hard, it's this and that" and because the very first time I attempted to learn was with a crowd, so I didn't grab anything from the class, then I started giving up, but then I just knew that I still liked fashion and I have always wanted to sew what i wear. So when I got Married, my husband registered me for a fashion training, before each class I always tell the Holy Spirit to teach me, because I know nothing about sewing, and within a month I caught up so quickly, started making my dresses, several months passed, I just noticed that Mhen, was is it this thing that I have been running from, it's so easy. So you too can Sew. I will teach you soon. Whatever you feel is hard for you to do in Life, just cling to God, tell him anything, he's your friend, gist with him, tell him your weakness and then he will Strengthen you.

Fifth in line to the throne Prince Harry is to tie the wedding knot with American actress Meghan Markle, excellent known for her role as Rachel Zane in solid drama Suits, on Saturday, May 19.

The ceremony will be held at midday, with the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd. and Rt Hon. Justin Welby officiating.

Taking place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry was christened, the location has superficially become a “very distinctive place” for the couple.

Various details – a well known as the wedding cake-maker and official photographer – have been revealed, but no ifs and or buts aspects – who has constrained Markle’s dress, for example – won’t be revealed until the big day.

Source: Everi Every

AGENCY REPORT

President Muhammadu Buhari came under fire on Thursday for criticising Nigerian youths who he said “do nothing” and want everything for “free” in the oil-rich country.

Buhari, who declared earlier in April he is seeking re-election in 2019, made the remark on Wednesday at a business conference in London.

“A lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming, you know, that Nigeria has been an oil producing country therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, health care, education, free,” said Buhari.

The comment touched a nerve West Africa’s largest economy, which suffers from high unemployment and lacks basic government services, including running water and electricity.

Most business and homes rely on private generators for power and buy water privately.

Former Nigerian vice president Atiku Abubakar, who is also running for president, lambasted Buhari.

“I will never refer to Nigeria’s youth as people who sit and do nothing,” he said in a statement posted on Facebook, adding that youth are the “backbone” of the country.

Another presidential hopeful Adamu Garba said Buhari was being “humorous with our national pride”.

On Thursday morning, the hashtag #LazyNigerianYouths was trending on Twitter, with young Nigerians blasting the government.

“The government never created anything for me, I feed from my hustle and yet they say we are lazy,” said one tweet.

Nigeria’s combined youth unemployment and underemployment rate hovered around 50 percent in late 2017 following the country’s worst economic recession in 25 years.

Nigeria came out of recession last year but growth outside the lucrative oil sector remains tepid, constrained by a lack of education and infrastructure.

Nigeria is home to more than 180 million people, with 63 percent of the population living below the poverty line, according to the IMF in a March 2018 report.

Source : Punch

They say your eyes are the window to your soul - so let your brows introduce them! But one shape doesn’t fit all. Let us guide you to your best brows!

1.ROUND
Here, we’re big fans of fuller brows with high, sharp angles. This will bring perfect definition to gorgeous rounder faces, creating angles between your cheekbones and chin.

2.OVAL
With the most balanced face shape, you can get away with pretty much anything. Still, we recommend you opt for a pronounced high arch that extends laterally along your brow bone.

3.HEART-SHAPED
Go for a low, semi-straight arch that kisses your brow bone. A general rule of thumb? Simply follow the way your arch naturally rises and falls. Heavy shaping isn’t encouraged for this face shape since it already draws focus to your beautiful eyes and forehead.

4.OBLONG
Focus on extending the length of your brows from left to right, creating either a high or low arch. Remember, keeping things horizontal is key to balancing out your lovely features.

5.SQUARE
You’re already blessed with a defined jawline, so create balance with a thick brow and stronger arch. Angled brows help to balance and bring focus to your eyes - consider it a win-win!

LUXE CHIC || HOW TO LOOK EXPENSIVE!

Ever looked at people like Kim Kardashian and wonder how they manage to look so simple, not too much going on…but so damn rich! From hair to toe just oozes money, even if you just read in the news that she is rocking a $9 bodycon from some mall down the road, she just always tends to pull of the ‘millionaire’ look. Well…trust us at WLS! We found the secret! Listen up class! Here are a the rules to follow to achieve the luxe chic look:

RULE 1 : NEUTRALS ALWAYS LOOK ELEVATED

Kim Kardashian & Micah Gianneli are a few of the style icons that always give us that rich and polished vibe…what do they all have in common? They keep to a particular colour palette…Neutrals! They never stray too far from a neutral colour palette, featuring soft, buttery tans, grays, browns, nudes and khakis.

RULE 2: BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK!

As a wise man once said “All black everything”. And boy, we couldn’t agree more if we do say so ourselves! (See what we did there? *wink*) If you are gunning for ultimate ‘millionaire babe’ glam, black from head to toe with some bold accessories to break up the monotone is the answer, or better yet…minimal accessories!

RULES 3: STAY POINTED…OR STRAPPED

The best shoes to rock to get the upscale luxe chic appearance, are either pointy toe shoes or strappy sandals! Apart from the fact that pointy toe shoes are a staple from the luxury brand Christian Louboutin, they elongate your legs well. Also, show a bit of skin by exposing those toes! Strappy sandals, lace-ups and peep toes are always a good idea.

RULE 4: ROSE X GOLD

Nothing screams “RICH” more than gold and rose gold chunky accessories…even if they are cheap *wink*. So opt for gold or rose gold custome jewelry over the silvers/beaded ones.

RULES 5: MONOTONOUS

Very similar to the “black on black rule, but in this case…we are talking one of any colour (preferably soft or muted) from head to toe. If the colour is not solid enough or is not a primary colour, the best way to wear it is by mixing it up in various shades.

Charcoal is one of the most disregarded products at home. We only see the need for it when it is time to set fire for Banku.
However, if you really need first aid, charcoal is something you need to have on you all the time, you might not know this but it is one of the most medicinal products you can have at home due to its poison extraction ability.
In case you never gave it much attention, this is the time to do so.
Here are *14 benefits* of charcoal you never thought about.

1. Odour Prevention
Does your shoe smell bad? just get some charcoal and put it in them. Do you have any bad smell in your room? Drop some charcoal where you suspect the smell could be coming from. Does your fridge or freezer smell? Put a piece of charcoal in it. Do you have strong body odour? Just make a powder out of charcoal and use, thank us later.
Charcoal is very good at getting rid of bad smell. Ever wondered why your parents always scooped out the ash from the coal pot to pour in the hen coop or toilet before sweeping? That was to get rid of the odour.

2. Keeping Food Fresh
If you want your vegetables to be fresh all the time, just make a solution out of charcoal and leave your vegetables in them. Thank us later.

3. Toxins Removal from Food
These days, people complain about the use of fertilizers on plants and vegetables, making them unwholesome and poisonous. If you have charcoal, you don’t need to worry about this, all you need to do is leave the vegetables in a charcoal solution overnight and it’ll take care of the toxins. If you suspect any food contains too many chemicals, just drop them in a charcoal solution for some hours and you’re good to go.

4. Teeth Whitening
If you want to whiten your teeth, pay no attention to all these adverts on whitening chemicals and technology, just get yourself some charcoal and grab hold of a plantain stalk, make a powder out of the charcoal, mash the tip of the plantain stalk, dip it into the charcoal powder and brush your teeth with it for a week, thank us later.

5. Restoration of Soup That Went Bad
Did your groundnut soup or palm nut soup go bad? No need to worry about pouring it all away. Just put it back on fire and drop a piece of charcoal in it. This will extract all the bad taste and smell and restore the soup to its fresh state.

6. Detoxification
Do you have a hangover out of a drink out with friends the previous night, just have some charcoal with you and chew on it. To make it more effective, make a nice solution out of it and drink, you’re good to go.

7. Neutralization of Alcohol
If you mistakenly did some wild mixing and feel it can knock you out, just add some charcoal to the mixture and your problem is solved. Or if you took in too much alcohol, just drink some charcoal solution and you’re good to go.

8. Healing Wounds
Do you have a situation where someone’s wound has become so infected to the state doctors are saying they have to cut the affected area? Don’t stress over it, get a large amount of charcoal powder and pour it on the wound. This will extract all the poison from the wound and also help it heal faster. If you have a cut and you want to treat it fast, just get some powdered charcoal and pour on it.

9. Water Filtration
Do you feel your water is contaminated? You don’t need all these products on the market, charcoal can do better, just drop some amount of it in it. Don’t worry about the colour, it is safe, you can even chew on charcoal. It is far safer than eating chicken from KFC.

10. Skin Cleansing
Do you have pimples, acne or any skin disease you really want to get rid of or do you want a very smooth face or skin? All you need is charcoal. Make a thick solution out of it and smear it on your body and leave it on for some hours before taking your bath. It will leave your skin smooth and fresh.

11. Stain Removal
Do you have some stubborn stain in your kitchen, washroom or on your tiles? You actually need charcoal to get rid of it. I know you’re imagining how this black stainy product can actually remove stains right? Just try it, it works like magic.

12. Getting Rid of a Bloated Stomach
If you ate or drank something and feel bloated, charcoal is the best solution to get rid of the bloating.

13. Getting Rid of Bad Cholesterol In You
Making a solution out of it and drinking helps eliminate all the bad cholesterol you have stored in you.

14. Ulcer Treatment
Charcoal can treat all the ulcers out there you can think of including stomach ulcer. Just make it a habit to always chew on some.

Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal is also useful but the above benefits are from using simple charcoal.
You cannot make activated charcoal at home. It is a manufactured product. It is actually a drug and available in tablets to deal with poisoning in clinics. Luckily, the best type is derived from coconut shell. Bioresources Institute of Nigeria (BION) at Umuna, Imo State has initiated the processing of food and drug grade activated charcoal under GMP conditions, to be realized as soon as the target specifications are met.

Activated charcoal can interfere with the absorption nutrients, supplements and prescription medications. Take activated charcoal 90 minutes to two hours prior to meals, supplements and prescription medications. Potential adverse interactions with the following drugs can occur: naltrexone (used for alcohol and opioid dependence), acrivastine, bupropion, carbinoxamine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, meclizine, morphine, methadone, morphine sulfate liposome, mycophedone, oxymorphone, suvorexant, tapendol, unexlidinium, acetaminophin, tricyclic antidepressants, theophylline. When selecting activated charcoal, it's vital that you know what it's made from. Not all activated charcoal supplements are created equally. Look for activated charcoal made from coconut shells or identified wood species that have ultra-fine grains. In the powdered from, many products have added artificial sweeteners to make them more palatable; avoid these. Artificial sweeteners are loaded with chemicals and frankly speaking, it doesn't make sense to take activated charcoal to get your body rid of chemicals and toxins if it's loaded with chemicals. Sweeten it naturally if desired with fresh juice or of natural sweetener.

This shows how important sex is in marriage.

When you look at how aggressive men are towards sex you may think that what a man needs from a woman is sex. Of course, if he has not married you yet or he does not really intend to marry you what he will need from you is nothing above your body. But if he really intends to marry you or if you guys are already married sex is never what he needs from you - maybe let me say it better; "WHAT A MAN NEEDS MOST FROM A WOMAN IS NOT SEX."
Many young girls think because they are sexually active and experience they will easily be married and have their husbands loving them. And when a man approaches for marriage they think the greatest asset they have to show the man is sex. Others also think once they are giving out their bodies it means they are giving out the best for which reason they will be chosen above all.

There is this young girl who is very beautiful and sexually active. Due to that she thought sex is all that matters to a man. Ironically, she struggled for long before finally getting married. Her sexual dexterity could not win her the heart of a man until out of the blue and reason beyond imagination a very handsome good man married her. The wedding was grand and her tears were now gone. Unfortunately only a year after the wedding the marriage fell on rocks. Within five years three different men came her way but none could stay.

The problem was simple. She thought sex was all that matters so she would never submit. But submission is what men need, not sex. It is time for our young ladies to know that when a man is ready to marry he will not look out for a woman who will satisfy his sex drive but a woman who will submit herself to him. Excuse my language, "every woman has vagina but not every woman has humility." So when you are a humble woman, you are an expensive jewelry. And a man of integrity will fear to lose you.
What does the Holy Bible say, "wife, submit to your husband." The reason is that a man's true love goes out only for a woman who is submissive. Your beauty cannot make another woman ugly but your humility can let him love you above all other women.

Sadly, many young ladies in our days call submission as "control." And you will hear them saying in tiny romantic voices, "As for me I don't want any man to control me oh." If you don't want to submit don't think of marriage because no man in his right sense will offer his love to a woman whose heart is higher than his height, no matter how short he may be or poor he is.

When a woman bows her knee before a man, the man will automatically bow his heart before her love. And love her sincerely. There are, of course, recalcitrant men who will not value women of humility but I tell you that every true man does not need sex, but submission. It is submission that truly makes you a romantic wife. So be the QUEEN you want to be but when it comes to dealing with your husband, play the role of a humble maid nothing dey happen. Don't forget that it is the spirit of humility that has caused many maids to hijack their mistresses' husbands. Be your man's queen and also be his maid not mind all those big mouth ladies who come online to pretend by advising you to do something they won't dare in their homes.

I wish you all the best as you submit in your relationship and marriage. May God bless you with good marriage, and may God direct the right men to your path.

31st July 2017 – Wearing make-up may make you feel smarter and could even help students achieve better exam marks, say psychologists.

Recent studies have shown how sales of beauty products have defied recessions and economic downturns because of the way they can boost self-esteem in troubled times.

Lipstick effect

This has led to the notion coined by journalists as the 'lipstick effect'.

As psychologists have shown that positive emotions can improve academic performance, a team from Harvard Medical School in the US and the D'Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara in Italy set out to test whether make-up could directly enhance academic performance.

The researchers recruited 186 female first-year university students and divided them into 3 groups.

Cosmetics, colouring and music

All the participants sat a simulated multiple-choice university exam about general psychology. Before the test:

Those in the first group were invited to apply make-up as they might normally do before going out.Members of the second group were asked to colour in a black-and-white drawing of a face as though they were applying cosmeticsParticipants in the third group listened to Mozart's Eine Kleine Nacht Musik – music previously linked to boosting mood – and copy some of the notes on a xylophone

The study, published in the journal Cogent Psychology, found a significant improvement in test results among the group who listened to the 'positive sounding' music compared to those who coloured in the face. However, those in the make-up group performed best.

Those in the make-up group also self-reported feeling more beautiful than those in the other 2 groups.

Asked about their mood, analysis showed a higher score for the make-up and the listening to music group compared to the face-colouring group.

Enhanced self-esteem

"All together, these results, could lead [us] to speculate that wearing make-up could have increased the participants' level of self-beauty perceived, consequently enhancing self-esteem, resulting in improvement of cognitive performance compared to the other groups", the authors conclude.

They say further research is needed to test whether make-up has longer lasting effects on cognitive performance and what methods might work to boost academic performance among male students.

Communication plays a very important role in achieving vision. Your ability to effectively communicate is key to success and the following will enable you become an excellent communicator.

1. Build the relationship first - always When a great communicator approaches an audience, he/she takes the time to say, “good morning” and “how’s your day going?” “Trust you had a most excellent night rest? etc". The effect of the relationship-building forays is incalculable. 2. Friendliness: Through a friendly tone, a personal question, or simply a smile, you will encourage your audience to engage in open and honest communication with you. It's important to be nice and polite. Learn to use the word "KINDLY".

3. Clarity and Concision: Good communication means saying just enough - don't say too little or talk too much. Try to convey your message in as few words as possible. Say what you want clearly and directly. If you ramble on, your listener will either tune you out or will be unsure of exactly what you want. Think about what you want to say before you say it; this will help you to avoid talking excessively and/or confusing your audience.

4. Confidence: It is important to be confident in all of your interactions with others. Confidence ensures your listener that you believe in and will follow through with what you are saying. Exuding confidence can be as simple as making eye contact or using a firm but friendly tone (avoid making statements sound like questions). Of course, be careful not to sound arrogant or aggressive. Be sure you are always listening to and empathizing with the other person.

5.Nonverbal Communication: Your body language, eye contact, hand gestures, and tone all color the message you are trying to convey. A relaxed, open stance (arms open, legs relaxed), and a friendly tone will make you appear approachable, and will encourage others to speak openly with you. Eye contact is also important; you want to look the person in the eye to demonstrate that you are focused on the person and the conversation (however, be sure not to stare at the person, which can make him or her uncomfortable). Also pay attention to other people's nonverbal signals while you are talking. Often, nonverbal signals convey how a person is really feeling. For example, if the person is not looking you in the eye, he or she might be uncomfortable or hiding the truth. Know when someone is tired or in an hurry and decide on how best you can convey your message or book another appointment

6. Avoid argument : Being a good listener is one of the best ways to be a good communicator and helps avoid argument. You can only get what you give. Keep an open mind to know how best to answer questions but avoid questions that stirs up argument. Be wise, be diplomatic and tactfully handle such scenes.

We only live once, and sometimes, we forget to make the best of it. Hectic schedules and busy social lifes often make us take things for granted, but life can be so much better and easier on you when you live ny these simple life 'rules'. Guaranteed you'll feel less stressed, more grateful and a lot more positivity comig your way. Let's take a look at these 5 simple life rules!

Do not worry
It's often easier said than done, but letting go of things makes you so much less worried and stress free. Sometimes it's best to let things be and trust in the fact that everything happens for a reason and things will fall into place. Whether it is about school, work or your relationship status. Often, when we let go of things and stop worrying, the unexpected happens and more good things come your way.

Don't get irritated so quickly
People nowadays are so uptight, it takes the slightest thing to get someone annoyed and worked up. Don't allow that to happen to you. You can get irritated over the smallest things, but when you see it in perspective and you realize that there are way more serious problems in the world, will you still let something or someone get to you? Probably not!

Expect less
When you have less expectations (of others) you won't get let down as easily. Realizing that nobody is the same, there's a big chance people do things with the best intentions but they might do it in a different way than you would. And there's nothing wrong with that. When you don't expect people to think or act the same as you, you won't get dissapointed that easily.

Give more
Giving more is such an easy thing to do to make every day a good one. You can always start with smiling to others, doing something good for someone else, helping others out more. When you give more, you will receive more. When you give others positivity and good vibes, that's what you'll receive more of too. It can be in the smallest things to make the most out of your day :)
