Happy Love Day.

How to Appear Way Smarter Than You Actually Are

smart
We live in a world that praises formal education and the appearance of intelligence. Often times, those without a formal education get branded with the “dummy” label even if many of these people are just as smart as or smarter than someone with a degree. The points below will help you to increase your overall intelligence and appear “smarter” to those around you.
Please note, I am in no way trying to devalue having a formal education. Additionally, information consumption does not equate to increased intelligence. Realize that whatever you learn must be retained AND practiced before you can have a complete understanding of how to do something. Let’s proceed:
Read
Read then when you are finished reading, read some more, and more. Reading will help to increase your vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, I find that reading helps to exercise your imagination and some of the best ideas I’ve had came to me while reading a book. If you’re not an avid reader, start with an easy book that you think you’ll enjoy or re-read a book you’ve read in the past (maybe something from high school). You can start by reading any type of book (fiction or non-fiction) but avoid magazines, blogs (ironic, I know), and newspaper as the bulk of your reading.
Improve Your Grammar
As mentioned above, you can improve your grammar by reading. But, if you still don’t know the difference between “there, their, and they’re” it will be worth while to read a grammar book or learn via tutorials, the web is full of this kind of information.
Mental Math
Can you calculate 12 x 5 + 7 in your head (the answer is 67)? In the modern world, technology aids us to an extent that we are neglecting our mental capacity. Knowing how to calculate simple math without the help of a calculator or a piece of paper can speed up your daily processes and save you from potential embarrassment in social situations. Good mental math skills are useful when shopping or dining (calculating sales tax, tips and discounts) as well as traveling (calculating currency exchanges). There are numerous other examples I can give but the point is that math is a large part of everyday life, learn it.
Stay Current with World Events
Read the Newspaper, watch the news. Get various perspectives on situations happening in our world right now. Having a good sense of what is going on in the world is an excellent way to make yourself a better conversationalist and makes you a more well-rounded individual.
Learn a New Skill
Become an “expert” at something. Everyone has their strengths, learn to develop your natural talents and people will respect you for mastering your area of expertise. You’ll become the “go to” person for whatever you chose to excel in. As the saying often goes, “Jack of all trades, master of none”. It’s good to be well rounded but in today’s day and age, the people with the most specialized knowledge are the most sought after.

3 Things You Do on Monday Morning That Doesn’t Help Your Style

3 Things You Do on Monday Morning That Doesn’t Help Your Style

Monday blues has been described as “the low-spirited, cool, annoyed, sad, unlucky mood of those workers, students, or employees who feel that a mundane, difficult, unexpected Weekday is arriving to force them into going back to work, killing their joys and annoying them.”  Here are the 3 things you should always avoid to do on Monday morning:

#1 Planning Your Outfits:

A cursory Google search would always tell you that the start of your workweek may sometimes trigger overwhelming feelings of anxiety, sadness, or stress. With this in mind, organizing your outfits in the morning can go wrong. To eliminate any stress and time suck on Monday morning, it is advisable to always set aside some time each Sunday night to plan out your outfits for the week. This one step will save you a ton of time, plus it guarantees that your outfits will be cuter and more put-together. When you are rushing at the last minute in the morning, you’re more likely to grab whatever is in front of you, instead of a stylish outfit.
Organize each of your outfits neatly on hangers, and hang them in order – Monday through Friday – in your closet. Hang any accessories on the hanger with your clothes, and lay out your shoes next to each outfit.

#2. Ironing Your Clothes:

Ironing clothes is one of those tasks that has a tendency to be a bit terrifying, plus the morning anxiety, so many things can go wrong. It takes up to 10 mins to get a dress or shirt properly ironed. And what if something goes wrong while ironing. Perhaps a change of mind or a scorch on the shirt. This can perhaps alter your ever graceful morning mood.

 #3. Shinning Your Shoes:

Like we have stated earlier, the idea is looking put together and at the same time punctual at work. Polishing a shoe properly takes a lot of time and patience. It may not be achievable in 5-15 mins – that means you don’t have to do it in the morning. So investing time in your shoes on Sunday night is time-saving and a head start to a stylish work-weak.

Things Never To Wear On Valentine’s Day

Things Never To Wear On Valentine’s Day

Valentine day is not the day we’re expecting Santa Claus. It’s the day for the celebration of love and of relationships, and sometimes turns out to be just a night where closest girlfriends meets from dinner to the dance floor. Aside from the fact that it’s a romantic date night of the year, it also comes with certain dress codes. For us modern women, this persuasive system of codes can be quite confusing – after all, it’s a date night – one only needs to feel sexy and comfortable, and anything goes as far as I am in charge. Okay, it’s your day but the truth is, there are certain looks to avoid.

To help you decipher the key things to avoid this Valentine’s Day, here are the 7 things never to wear:

#1. Anything Coveralls:

Date night aren’t just for only singles. Maybe you’ve been married for 5 years, or single but not just the type of gal who fancy steamy dresses or  you’re a single with no darling in sight. Wearing anything coverall to a date night will just make you look like a Catholic priest.

#2. Extremely Sheer Dress:

If one can see your nipples, underpants, and everything underneath (newsflash), it’s too naked to wear on a date night.

#3. Towering Heels:

First thing to consider on that day should be comfort – it’s very important. Don’t wear a shoe you cannot walk or stand in for 20mins. What if the DJ decides to turn his disc to ‘Step In The Name Of Love’ by R-Kelly?

#5. Super Tight Dress:

Let’s be honest, anything unsafe can happen to you if you wear anything super tight. Do you want your dress torn while dancing? Do you?

#6. Don’t Wear Red Head-To-Toe:

Like i said earlier, Santa Claus isn’t coming, so there is no need to paint yourself red. Roman Catholic Popes wear red as the symbol of the blood of Christ, while us women, especially on the V-day would wear it to express love. However, it’s advisable not to wear it at once ( think lipstick, red top, red pants and red shoes, and even red hair). e.t.c

#7. Loud and Shouty Perfume:

As you know taste in perfume is very personal and differs from person to person. Your might leave your guy choking all night with a loud and shouty perfume. We advice you opt for a soft and gentle scents that day.
