Don’t Be Afraid of Being successful

Don’t Be Afraid of Being Successful

Being successful is a very good thing. Being very successful, even gooder (if there’s such a word). Everybody celebrates, you are able to go places, do stuff, help yourself, your family and friends, and even strangers you don’t know. You enjoy, a lot of people enjoy, Life is great. But apparently, a lot of people are genuinely not pursuing their dreams because of this fear of being “too successful” –  Jesu Christi! Is there even such a thing! You might be surprised, even a lot women in our day and age, are holding back because they think “if I’m too successful I’ll scare off potential suitors”. Babe, there are enough male eagles for all the female ones out there.  Lol Freda was in her late 20’s. Extremely successful. I mean, this girl has her A game on. Started her own business and grew it into a little empire that employs about 15 people grossing 8 figures a year. Trouble is, she wasn’t able to hold down a relationship for more than 3 years. All the brothers bail out just at the brink of things getting good serious. Today, Freda is married to an entrepreneur that employs about 25 people making more money than she does. Moral of the story, when you’re successful, you would attract some eaglets, but stay put for your knight in shiny armour. Lol But seriously, as much as success attracts all sorts, success also attracts success. Kings dine with kings as some people say. The fear of being too successful shouldn’t even be a question on your mind. Just be successful first. But even if it so happens that you are more successful than your man, a real man would see through the pomp and pageantry. Rather than jealousy or envy, the boomerang effect of your success would be to inspire him to be better, do better and chase his dreams too, love and understanding in the mix, everything blossoms. Even in marriage they tell us 1 + 1= 1 right? not 1+ 1/2 or 1 + 1/4. Point is that we shouldn’t be afraid of chasing our dreams, whether we’re male or female. Be whole, be complete, be all that you can be, so that if you get into a relationship you can bring something to the table – Value added. “The good that comes from success far outweighs the challenges or problems that comes with it…Not saying that there aren’t any” So what dreams are you putting off because of your fear of success? Don’t you think is better to cry alone inside a Rolls Royce than for you and your hubby to laugh with a hungry stomach inside a molue? Lol.
