Joyce Bonelli, Famed Kardashian Makeup Artist, Is Launching Her Own Line
Brace yourselves and your wallet: Yet another Kardashian makeup collaboration is on the way. Joyce Bonelli, whom you might recognize as a key member of the Kardashian glam squad, is on deck this time. The social-savvy makeup artist has just announced that she’s launching her very own cosmetics line.
Joyce spilled details about the coming line to New York magazine, confirming that she is shooting for a release date sometime in the fall, before the holiday season — most likely between September and October.
Apparently, she will be starting off small with “just a few things that I love,” as she puts it. “It’s the best of the best,” she explains. “I’m not selling a thousand different things.”
If you’re wondering why it even took this long for Joyce to announce her own makeup line, she says the delay in production came from her discontent with her first manufacturer when she “wasn’t happy with the outcome,” going on to add, “in the last few months, we’ve been starting over, which is really exciting. It’s frustrating, but really coming together with each formula. My new manufacturer is in Milan, and I finally found the right chemist.”
Joyce dishes that her favorite product currently is her brow gel, which she herself is testing. The artist elaborates on the product, saying, “I’m into legit gluing them in place. It’s clear in color. I’m not trying to add any shimmer or gold. It lasts all day, so that when I touch up my face and rub my brow, it’s still there. It doesn’t look like makeup, but just keeps it where it is supposed to be.” Sounds pretty perfect.
This isn’t the first time a Kardashian glam squad member has stepped out on their own into the spotlight. The family’s hairstylist Jen Atkin launched hair care line Ouai, which now not only offers shampoo, conditioner, styling products, and such but also supplements and merch (because, why not?). Now it’s Joyce's turn to bring her Kardashian care to the masses. Mark your calendars and start counting down the days: The season of Kardashian-approved makeup (beyond Kylie’s lip kits and face palettes, of course) is almost here.
